Caring for Your Jewelry

IN PEACE jewelry is designed to become part of your everyday, but all fine jewelry benefits from a little care.

We recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, exercising, bathing, sleeping, using household chemicals, or participating in activities that may cause unnecessary impact or scratching.

Store your jewelry separately when it is not being worn to help prevent scratches and tangling.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver naturally develops tarnish over time. This is normal and can be gently removed.

Clean sterling silver using a soft jewelry polishing cloth.

For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Rinse carefully and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners that may alter the finish or texture of your jewelry.

Solid Gold

14k and 18k gold can be worn regularly but may naturally develop small scratches and signs of wear over time.

Clean solid gold with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth or very soft brush.

Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Diamonds and gemstones should still be treated with care.

Avoid knocking your jewelry against hard surfaces, as stones can chip, crack, or loosen from their settings.

Some natural gemstones require more delicate care than others. If your piece contains a gemstone requiring specific care, this will be noted on the product page where appropriate.

Handmade Finishes

Many IN PEACE pieces feature intentionally soft, worn, or hand-finished surfaces.

These textures are part of the character of the jewelry.

Avoid aggressive polishing or refinishing, as this may remove or alter the original surface texture.
